Top Buckner Hotel Reviews

Best Western Marion Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The staff were really friendly. There were renovations going on but everyone was so helpful and considerate. Breakfast was good with plenty of variety. Room was clean and comfortable. I would stay again if I was in the area."

Hampton Inn Carbondale

10/10 Excellent

"Although the hotel was extremely difficult to reach by phone to get information and check on a military discount, and after a short wait at the desk, the property itself was very clean, nicely maintained. And the staff was helpful. The breakfast was delicious as was the person who worked to keep breakfast stocked."

SureStay Hotel by Best Western Whittington Rend Lake

10/10 Excellent

"Stayed for 1 night. Room, sheets and towels were clean. This hotel is far from anything of convenience. All restaurants or stores are at least 5-8 miles away so get food on your way before you check in. I can tell that this is an independently owned hotel. Two suggestions. Buy newer towels. The towels didn’t match and they were not soft and were stiff, scratchy, and outdated. Also, I would suggest putting a locked drop box for keys at the front desk. I left out very early in the morning and there was no one at the desk. I never feel confident leaving keys just out in the open. For the price, this is a comfortable stay, it could just use some upgrades."

Drury Inn & Suites Marion

10/10 Excellent

"It’s been a year since we visited this Drury Inn. I was pleasantly surprised that it’s just as clean, the staff is just as friendly & helpful and the food keeps getting better and better! Mexican dinner nite has been upgraded from mystery ground beef to pulled pork. Yummy! Breakfast now offers large or mini make your own waffles and blueberry pancakes. The scrambled eggs with bacon and cheese was excellent. The orange splash drink is really orange juice with a splash of tangerine juice so it’s 100% juice. Yay! The cocktails at 5:30 kickback were tasty. Pool & hot tub were very clean with towels placed on the tables & around the room. But the pool water was really chilly. The hot tub was more like a warm pool temp, which was great, we cud spend more time enjoying the massage jets. There were plenty of carts by all outside doors. The manager walked around during 5:30 kickback asking people how they liked the food and he was there again at breakfast. A very nice person to chat with & very dedicated! Can’t beat the location. One of our favorite Drury Inns."

Best Western Saluki Inn

8/10 Good

"We came to visit our son at SIU and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was nice, clean, and very affordable. The breakfast was great, with lots of options. There's a bar right next to the hotel, which was nice, and a couple of restaurants nearby. The area felt safe and had a good amount of activity. Overall, a really good place to stay when visiting SIU!"
