The reason for the less than ideal rating is that the pictures and description led me to believe the suite was more private than it was. I believed we were booking a secluded and private location, but the suite is actually attached to the main residence. The reason I was willing to spend what we did after taxes and fees was that I believed we’d have more privacy than we would if we booked a hotel in Canmore or Kananaskis. The furnace was annoying and turned on and off every few minutes despite lowering the temperature when we went to bed. The bed & sheets were so soft and comfortable. The space really was beautiful and well cared for. The check in was easy & the space was quiet aside from the furnace. I do feel like the description is a bit deceptive and that it is not as private as described which was a disappointment. We had a great dinner in town at the Italian Farmhouse. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming and the location was marvellous. The suite was very beautifully decorated and with lots of warmth and love put into every detail. The llamas were really close by and were fun to watch from the perfectly situated hot tub. We were really happy with our stay and are excited to be back again in the summer. It was so nice to have them all around. We brought our small dog which they (the llamas) seemed really intrigued by. We made several visits a day to the fences. One note is that the gap under the gate is big enough for a smaller dog to get under so we did always keep him on a leash. It would have been neat to have a get-to-know the llamas spot that would tell you each of their names with their photos…the few photos with names of the babies in the bathroom allowed us to identify a couple by name.
