Sauna was broken in the spa and the changing rooms in the spa were really very tatty. Overall not what I would have expected from a 5 star hotel, spa was worse I’ve been to in a hotel. The hotel did not have a bed ready for my son despite booking for 3 in the suite and we waited x5 hrs for a dog bowl to arrive despite emailing the hotel the day before to remind them we were bringing dogs. Room service was disappointing, frozen pizza for my son not really edible. Such a shame as the staff were really trying. I’ve stayed in the other IHG in Cardiff which is in much better condition. You pay for the view with the Voco which is brilliant, but not worth the price. Positives the living room in the suite is spacious, superb views and lovely sofa, Christmas tree in the room lovely touch, staff on front desk very dog friendly and kind.
