Very busy, ideal to go with a local or a guide.
Almost over-whelming the locals trying to sell their items. Don't expect to browse without being approached to sell you merchandise. The market has probably 200 vendors all competing so prices vary greatly from one booth to the next for the same items.
don't go. - poor, definitely NOT pristine
Worth a quick trip for presents or souvenirs, but a lot of poverty in and around Castries which can be depressing.

Attend mass at Castries’ cathedral and appreciate the congregation’s community spirit and the beauty of the architecture that blends Caribbean and African influences.

Wander through this pretty square and gardens in the middle of Castries and learn about the Nobel Prize winner after which it is named.
