“Hot tub had way too many chemicals in it and burned my eyes after 5 minutes of being in there! Staff was nice but the building has absolutely seen better days”

“We chose this property because of the location and cost. It's clean with well worn furniture, things are a bit shabby but under new management. The beds were comfortable enough. We were there when the wildfire smoke came. During the first night we noticed a smoky smell in our room and awoke to extreme air quality issues. We had planned to go to Mackinac Island for the day but you couldn't walk outside without coughing. Actual ash was coating our car. We are retired and knew we could not……

“The continental breakfast was weak. If they would add maybe some microwavable ess bowls / omlettes it would be a 3.9 breakfast. The building breakfast is in was hot and the coffee was not strong enough.”

“Property was very clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Sofa bed appeared to have a piece hanging off of it, so it wasn’t used. Bed was firm but sufficient. Location was beautiful.”

A young couple bought this property and are renovating it beautifully! Many thoughtful touches have been added including a fire pit with all the s’mores fixings! “This is a gem amongst all motels and even hotels in the Mackinaw/St. Ignace area. Completely renovated, just like the pictures show it. And dog-friendly! Yes, you can hear occasional noise from adjacent rooms but that’s no difference when staying in a hotel. I will return to this motel anytime if I need an overnight stay in the area.”
