Cheaha Resort State Park Tours

Was so excited about this resort! We looked at the calendar before booking! Sadly most the events listed did not happen. The towel hut lady was very rude and hateful accusing us of using more than 1 towel per person a day, the day before, we spent the whole day before at the beach! We did get to go to s’more night! The same towel lady was doing it, she was complaining the whole time about having to do it! Also not very clean as everyone one was touching the marshmallows to grab their own! We booked for the end of summer pool party with the beach ball drop, we were not told it was canceled after waiting 4 hours we had to go ask about it! Just to be told it was canceled our children were heart broken! The smell of weed was very strong when reported to the front desk we were basically told oh well, why have rules if your not going to in force them. The best part of our stay was the beach! The beach bar is staffed and will come to you on the beach! Sadly after this stay I don’t foresee us staying here again!

The condo building and the unit we stayed in are outdated and need to be modernized. Common areas were not clean and the hallway off the elevator where our unit was located had a very pungent smell of mildew and mold. The unit itself needs major updating from new kitchen and bathroom fixtures as well as furniture and carpet.
