Cozy Cottage In The Woods

If you are wanting to get away from it all, this is the place for you. Whether it be a romantic weekend, horseback riding, family getaway or hunting/hiking adventure, you can find it here. This is a new property consisting of one bedroom, one loft and one bath. The couch will convert to a sleeper as well. Can easily sleep 7. Pets are always welcome for a small fee.
Our property adjoins Pennyrile State Forest, consisting of 15,468 acres of public access. You can access horse trails from the cabin for excellent hiking, riding or hunting. We are located just 4.5 miles from Pennyrile Forest State Park Lodge and 12 miles from Lake Beshear. It is time to put away the cell phones and laptops and enjoy GOD’s artwork of nature.

Hunting trip

Perfect family getaway

We love where the cabin is located. My husband hunts and its so nice with a young family to be close enough he can go to the property and I can have them at the cabin to go walk and enjoy being outside!! This wasnt our first stay and it was just as perfect this time as it was last!

Perfect getaway!

Lovely cabin adjoining beautiful state forest land. Access to miles and miles of trails right from the property. Had everything we needed. Super clean and comfortable. Loved the screened in porch and firepit! Would definitely stay again!

great spot

This was a nice cabin for a weekend getaway. It was really close to pennyrille forest. It took about 5 min to get to the lodge/lake. There was everything needed to cook and just enjoy time with the family.

Perfect place for a girls trip

We enjoyed the entire property, it was quiet and clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed getting to check into the property early. The cabin was perfect for visiting Pennyrile State Resort Park and spending time hiking! My favorite spot in the cabin was the screened in porch. Eric was great to communicate with any questions we had, he always responded promptly! It was an overall great experience!

Great get away

The property was very nice and great for hiking and exploring the woods. We were surprised to find the refrigerator on the screened in porch which would have not been a isuue if it was 20 degrees outside on the days we stayed. Overall, it was a peaceful retreat where we could disconnect from everything.

Quiet retreat with many possibilities

The cabin worked perfect for our family. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was great. You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but everything you need is within 20 minutes. Unfortunately we did not have time to take advantage of the trails. Awesome stay

Eric was very accommodating! We were road tripping to Florida from Minnesota and wanted to see pennyrile while stopping half way. We showed up for check in and there was zero power to the place. Eric came immediately and helped us get settled into a different home completely that had power (large storm passed by the day before). We were able to stay at the cottage on our way back home from Florida and enjoyed it so much! Very peaceful and comfortable place to be with family and/or friends. Loved the entire grounds as well! Would love to stay again in the future

Perfect Escape

We loved our stay at the cottage. Perfect location, quiet and immediate access to the hiking trails a few feet from the front door. We have stayed in many VRBO accommodations and we found this one to be the best stocked with daily essentials throughout the kitchen and bath. Also, beds were very comfortable and the whole cottage was immaculate. We were looking for a nice quiet place for our anniversary weekend. We could not be more please with our choice. Eric, responded to every message within minutes and stopped by to drop off firewood for the fire pit. We are planning a return trip and looking forward to our next great escape!
