Fantastic Property

Very well maintained and well stocked property. Development is well maintained and managed, along with good amenities. Location is convienent for this area of the Keys.

Clean, Inviting, Relaxing

Overall, we had a great time. The rental was clean, well equipped, if you chose to cook. My sister and I loved it being close to Key West, plus several good restaurants in immediate area. Neighbors were quiet. Love having car under house, it was always cool.

Relaxing family vacation

Our family of 6 really enjoyed our stay. The location is great about half an hour from key west. The house is clean. We LOVED the deck! Caught the sunrise one morning! There are lots of amenities on the property. We enjoyed the pool and kayaking. The hosts communicated well! Was a great choice to stay in and have already talked about visiting again!

Best Family Vacation!

Our trip was so good we were already talking about booking it for next year!Mike and Carol were great to work with. I’ve never had someone so quick to respond, take care of any issues, and provide recommendations during a stay.Their home was a perfect place for us and convenient to so much throughout the keys. It was clean, spacious, and had everything you could want or need during your stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could think of. The appliances were great with a dishwasher, washer, and dryer on hand. Underneath is a grill, bikes, helmets, kayaks, life jackets, fishing equipment, chairs, a cooler, etc. They have everything you need!The resort has a community store, that my kids would bike to sometimes multiple times per day. There’s a pool, boat ramp, and tiki huts to hang out under!We spent much of our time at Bahia Honda state park at one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to, snorkeling, soaking up the sun, and taking in the breathtaking views. My oldest son and I did a party fishing charter (Gulfstream IV - highly recommended) and my wife and youngest son went to the Turtle Hospital in Marathon (highly recommended). We made a couple trips to Key West, which is a short drive away, to shop, see the sights, and had some of the best food I’ve ever had (great recommendations from Mike). It truly was a memorable vacation and we owe a lot of it to Mike and Carol for allowing us to use their wonderful home! Thank you!

Wonderful Stay! Great Neighbors!

Awesome stay at Venture Out! 618 was very nice and had everything! We had a great time for the week vacation for my boyfriend's birthday trip! We will definitely be back next year! The property managers, guard staff, neighbors were all very kind and friendly! Rent a golf cart from Lita and Sonny!!!

My wife and I really enjoyed our time at the property. We spent a lot of time on other keys so the location was great as a starting point for our adventures. The property was outfitted with everything we needed and just as advertised.

Little slice of paradise

This is the perfect place to stay when in the Keys. The home was perfect for the size of our party (5), it had pretty much everything we needed and then some. The community it is in was clean quiet and had some great extras-pool, tennis/pickleball courts, rec room and great view off the sunrise. We will definitely stay here again, when we visit the Keys. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a wonderful time . The place is exactly as pictured online. It had everything we needed. We loved having the use of the bikes. The pool was amazing! It was relaxing, quiet, and just a short distance from Key West. Very fun 10 days.

Holiday vacation

Nice property. Parking is a pain. Need new fans in the bedrooms. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! On site laundry was a plus!! Fit our family of four comfortably!

The home and community was very nice, only issue was the refrigerator smell like fish. Needs a thorough cleaning. There was a few ants. TV cable was slow and TV control was difficult.

good place for home base

The house was good. We used the bikes on the property to go to the pool a couple times. We were pleasantly supprised to find the pool is cooled & felt great for the middle of summer. The cabinets in the house are packed so full of cups,dishes, etc there was no where to really put any groceries or food items besides the counter top. The fridge water filter needed to be changed the fridge ice machine & water from the fridge door took forever to do either one. AC was good,pleanty of towels & bedding,the applianceswere all in goid shape & working. Its a clean nice place. Would stay again. Not on the water there is a community seawall area across the street that we felt safe letting the kids fish from the seawall.

Too far from amenities.

This property was so far from all the everything. The pools d hot tube was closed for renovation. The area set aside to swim in the ocean was dirty and placed right beside the fish cleaning station so it stank. The house was pretty clean but we couldn’t remove our shoes without getting black feet. Nice house but we would not stay again. Really disappointing that we could not use the pool or hot tub.

This is a glorified trailer park. Not what I was thinking for my family. When we got there another family chose to use our house instead of theirs next doors. Very frustrating that they don’t know who is in the units and that we had to wait to get in after traveling 2 days. No compensation was made for us for our troubles. Location is okay can get to key west and Marathon in about a half hour. Between COVID and the weather which are out of anyone’s control the whole trip was a disappointment.

Almost perfect, but...

First, I must say this property is nearly perfect for the money and location; however, there is one huge exception. To start, the community is wonderful with all the amenities necessary for an enjoyable vacation. And this particular property has everything you need to make some really enjoyable memories; from kayaks and bicycles to pool and beach supplies, nearly everything you need without bringing it from home. The kitchen is well stocked with all the necessities for cooking and eating, and the grill was perfect. The property was clean and located in a great location with a glimpse of the water off in the distance be it over other properties. My quests (total of four adults), wife and I spent quite a bit of time on the porch just enjoying the weather and each others company. Now the huge exception, the master bedroom (with the bathroom) queen mattress is old and could use an update. You can sleep on it, but it is not a mattress I would keep in my house, much less in my bedroom. However, the mattress in the other room is another story, that mattress needs to be replaced immediately. I was unable to sleep in that room and unfortunately had to sleep on the couch for all but the first night. My wife was able to sleep on the mattress for the week, but it again wasn't even close to a restfull relaxing sleep. I contemplated most of the week about complaining about the mattresses but decided against it as I was unable to find any contact info that was specifically for problems and I certainly didn't want to be troubled during our short one week vacation getting the wrong answer to my problems such as "there's nothing they can do about the mattresses, especially with such short notice", so in all fairness to the owner and property management, I chose not to give the property management a chance to rectify the situation. I certainly hope, the review provides the notice everyone needs to get both mattresses replaced for future quests. In closing, I would love to give this property five stars but I just can't. And I did give the property four stars even with the mattress problems. I certainly would love to rent this property again in the future, but it certainly won't be until both mattresses have been replaced with newer and better quality mattresses, as a third of my vacation time was spent trying to get rest on them. So future renters, please be aware this place is awesome, but be prepared on where you're getting ready to sleep.

Great spot to enjoy paradise

This is our second stay in this unit and the perfect spot to use as base to enjoy the Lower Keys. Unit has excellent appliances, comfortable furniture, and all of the household items needed for a good vacation. The Venture Out resort itself has a range of nice amenities and I like the 24 hour security and restricted access. Property rules are reasonable and easy to abide by. The bonus equipment like bikes, hammock, grill, and kayaks are very much appreciated. Watching the sun rise from the deck is one of my favorite views.
