“We booked last minute to get out of the bustle of the city. Suzanne and John were really thoughtful in sharing that there was unexpected roadwork outside the cottage, giving us the opportunity to find another place to stay but we decided to go ahead and are so glad that we did. The cottage is comfortable and quaint with all the amenities you need to relax. The cottage is walking distance to local cafes, restaurants, and bars. It was great for a weekend away and exactly what we needed. Definitely……

“Lovely old cottage, furnished well with a nice kitchen having everything you need for eating in (except for a sieve or collander). Clay tiles on ground floor make the floor cold so bring slippers in low season. Some very low beams so tall people beware. Couldn't light the gas fire though. Surprised to find slow-moving bees on window sills or on floor each day when returning from day out.”

“Needed somewhere to stay that was commutable to Basildon for our specific needs , dog friendly and a place to de stress. Couldn't have found a more lovely place. As all the reviews have said it was simply immaculate, the bed linen smelt heavenly and was so comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to self cater and even has a little store cupboard of spices and condiments for your use. “This apartment is of the very highest standard. Beautifully decorated, with everything you would ever need! The location is 2 mins walk to the town or beach. Although there is no parking at the property, there was lots of parking 1 min walk away. Highly recommended! ”

“Es war dieses Mal unser fünfter Aufenthalt in Cholchester, sodass wir die Gegend bereits sehr gut kannten. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und idyllisch an direkter Wassefront. Cholchester ist mit dem Auto in ca. 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Oberflächlich ist das Haus sauber, nur beim genaueren Hinsehen und Nutzen der Küche waren zum Beispiel deutliche Fettanhaftungen an der Dunstabzugshaube und nicht gut gereinigtes Besteck festzustellen. “We stayed here for 7 nights and if we ever return to England from NZ we would certainly stay here again. Potts Cottage has everything one requires. It is beautifully appointed and even has a washing machine/dryer. Christina was very helpful and quick to come and help when we asked about the heating for example. We highly recommend this as a great place to stay.”
