Don’t go to el cuyo Yucatán, there’s nothing to do there, the town is terrible, if you are not a hippie from the 70s you got nothing to do there, it’s over rated

Very nice place decent location but unfortunately when they electricity goes out, they don’t have back up generators and it’s really hot and muggy in your room. They give you a candle but with no lighter to turn it on I think for the amount of money you spend it should have a little back up generator to have the AC working. They only have a generator working on the common areas as in kitchen and bar. I guess they do that to keep the revenue coming in.

Nice new property (open less than 3 months). Front desk staff are extremely nice and helpful. Rooms are nice, but without much privacy since the shower is in same area as bed. Nice view from roof top pool and bar. “Continental “ breakfast was actually a full, hot breakfast which was very good, but service was very slow. It seemed to get better the last day and we were told a new restaurant manager had taken over starting that day. Drink prices at the pool bar were outrageous. We shared our thoughts with the desk staff who seemed very open to receiving them. There is no elevator, so plan accordingly. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay and will consider another stay there when we visit El Cuyo again.

The hotel wasn’t ready!

There was no running water during our stay here - couldn’t even go to the toilet, wash our hands or have a shower. We were told about 4 times that the water will be back on in “30 minutes” but this wasn’t at all. It was disappointing to say the least and we were not even offered a full or partial refund for this…

Choose elsewhere and don’t waste your time or energy. WHAT A DISASTER OF A HOTEL AND EXPERIENCE. I happen to have managed hotels and been in the business for the past 10 years.. (and coming from a very experienced traveler as well) Where do I even begin? I guess the room first. 1.First check in was a joke. No info, just took us to the room, no Wi-Fi info, no check out info, and no room info. 2. The entire hotel and room especially smell like cement (gives you major headache in the room).. 3. The room has a large floor to ceiling window next to the bed that has no curtain. And directly facing the sunrise at 5:30 AM so good luck sleeping in or having any type of a resting vacation. 4. The entire hotel is like a box. The room has cute decor but you forget about it the minute that you have a claustrophobic bathroom, the size of a mini closet. 5. Wi-Fi is horrible and did not work in our room the entire stay. (doesnt work through all the concrete) 6. Only two pillows at this expensive boutique hotel 7. We had seen some photos on the booking site, but not how open the shower is (not good for friends, and many people are uncomfortable with this. 8. hammocks way to high off the ground to enjoy 9. do not give you real pool towels 10. no safe in the room 11. no cleaning service for 3 days (at a beach hotel which would clearly have sand tracked in ) Ran out of space to even finish the review. Continue to google.

Excelente opción para viajar en grupo!

Hicimos un viaje en familia, y recibimos una excelente atención por parte del staff de Dos Mares para que toda nuestra estancia fuera mejor de lo que esperabamos!!! Repetiremos sin duda! El Cuyo es un sitio aún no muy desarrollado, pero Dos Mares ofrece comodidad, limpieza y buen servicio.

Regreso cada año. Está a unos paso de la playa, el personal es siempre sumamente amable. Las instalaciones son muy lindas, el aire acondicionado y ventilador en el cuarto siempre son ideales para el calor de Yucatán. Pueden mejorar en la calidad de los colchones y toallas, la atención a distancia y la terraza en la parte de la piscina, que está un poco descuidada.

Demasiado ruidosa, se siente los desagües de las habitaciones como si estuvieran dentro del cuarto, ojo hablo de la habitación M3 no se las demás. Colindante con esta habitación hay un cuarto dé insumos q se abre y se cierra esa puerta 1000 veces al día y párese q está dentro del cuarto, por lo demás bastante bien, pero nada q ver con las fotos de la publicidad.

Excelente hotel, muy bonito, limpio y precios razonables. No recomiendo la habitación L3 por estar mal ubicada. Recomiendo tener en el hotel opciones aunque sean de renta para los visitantes como bicis, kayaks, sillas para la playa que las tiene pero cuando hay hotel lleno son insuficientes. Las habitaciones son muy limpias, camas y almohadas cómodas.
