"Just a Step Away is absolutely our favorite cabin rental to date. Perfectly peaceful and secluded. Our favorite spot is listening to the running water from the creek on the screened in back porch. Always clean and stocked with with everything you need, plus some extras like spices and the ketchup I forgot to pack, lol. Highly recommend for all ages. If you have a senior that cannot make it up the many steps to the front entry, send someone around to the back and problem solved. Very hard to leave this gem in the woods and we will be back for a third time as soon as we are able!"

"The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful, with an alternate route when the bridge was out and finding out if a burn was lifted. The place was lovely and (though I wasn’t handicapped) loved to see the cabin accommodate it like ramps leading from the living room to the backyard patio. And it was a surprise with a washer and dryer! Only notes: better internet service and a pathway to the lake/ stream right outside and below the cabin’s porch (if possible; there were deer that came to the stream, so a pathway/ area may not be possible). All in all, a great spring break getaway to relax! "
