Ernesto the owner was top notch! There was a bit of a snafu with a broken propane line during our stay, causing the b&b to be sans hot water. But honestly, it was fine. With such a relaxing atmosphere, stunning scenery, and quaint eclectic accommodations, who even needs hot water?! He prepared a wonderful breakfast that was traditional for the area-the mexican hot chocolate is to die for! We had a little confusing in the check in but it was worked out. I had read that the breakfast was great, however, we are vegetarians so i thought we wouldn't get to eat. When we entered the dining area we talked with the owners who make all the food themselves. They were able to make our order vegetarian. It was the most amazing breakfast ever. The blueberry crumble muffins and the breakfast burritos were unbelievable.

We stayed in the larger suite at the La Dona Luz Inn. The artwork in the suite and the breakfast room is fantastic - lots of real southwestern art and some native crafts, not normal big hotel prints. This suite has roof access with a hot tub. Sunset on the roof is a great place for happy hour and star gazing. The owner was super helpful and friendly. The only warning is there are a lot of steep stairs so don't get this room if you have mobility issues!

OTGH is wonderful. The room was delightful, spacious and nicely fitted. There was a private patio out the back and the front faced into a courtyard with a fountain. The breakfasts were all delicious - no options but different every day. Endless coffee helped! Location is on the edge of town but easy to get to anywhere. I will definitely return. N
