“Power went out often on the island, a generator is needed at this property. Out flight was cancelled and we lost a day. I was told we would get credit for that but haven’t received confirmation of that yet. Location is okay, taxi service is a few blocks away, restaurants close. Not sure if I’d return or recommend at this time, still waiting on owner to honor his verbal agreement. But no matter what, a generator is desperately needed to protect a quality experience. ”

“Clean room that is in need of someTLC. The Pool is beautiful and so is the view from the patio where continental breakfast is available. The staff is very helpful. AC works great when there is not a power outage, which happens about 2 hours per day. Shower worked and there is bar soap and shampoo along with towels. The property feels safe, with a gate that is locked 8-8pm. Location is good if you want to be downtown and walk to the many jewelry and gift shops. Not sure if there is parking at the……

“The room was very clean and had great amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly. The space is beautiful and charming. Bartender and Restaurant staff were exceptional and the food was amazing. My only piece of feedback would be to add some lounge chairs near the pool. But next time I come back to St Thomas there is no doubt I’m staying at Hotel 1829! ”
