The home is pet friendly and will accept up to two dogs. However, there is a pet fee of $27/dog/night. Due to the fact that HomeAway/VRBO does not allow us to charge for more than one dog at the time of booking, please let us know if you will be bringing more than one dog, so that we can make sure that you are charged the correct amount. If you bring more than one dog and do not let us know, you will be charged accordingly. Furthermore, please bring crates for your dogs and crate them in your absence from the house, do not allow the dogs on furniture or beds, and pick up and properly dispose of their waste.

Very nice.
I thought I was booking another RB&B closer to town that was larger so when I arrived, it was a little bit chaotic with my partner. She was a bit disappointed, but overall we were very happy with the facilities and I would recommend it. Two little snafus, one the yard man was mowing and weeding when we arrived and not his fault he was having to work around the weather conditions and he was there as we were leaving mowing the front yard. The other was the lock was very tricky, but the issue was resolved quickly and the management company had somebody out very quickly, even the gentleman that came out I had a little problem with the lock getting it to work properly. I only day this as constructive criticism . Otherwise everything was fantastic. Very comfortable.

COZY COTTAGE & GREAT LOCATION
This is a wonderful little cottage. It had everything we needed, including coffee and snacks. We were celebrating my birthday so they had a little cheese tray, chocolate and bottle of wind waiting for us along with balloons! Lindsey the owner of the cottage was just the sweetest young lady. We had absolutely no issues. The neighborhood is adorable and we were able to easily ride our bikes to downtown. The cottage is nicely decorated and has so many windows (which we love). We highly recommend. They will also soon have the home the cottage sits behind available for rent so we may stay there one day also if we have a couple come with us.

This property was very nice and Susan was very responsive. This property was a shed in the backyard of the owners property. It was very clean, and there were no issues with our stay. My only feedback would be it would be great to have a pathway to the backyard so it felt a little more inviting to walk to the fenced backyard. Other than that it’s a great property and stay.

Great little place near downtown Fredericksburg
Very neat, quiet, well stocked place. Folks at house leave one to one's privacy and especially appreciated ample coffee! A little tough to spot but once in everything worked like a charm, and it very cozy!

Neat quiet little spot
We had an amazing time. We drove from CO over 12 hours for a reunion from a German school i went. We spent time at the Oktoberfest and with friends i had not seen in 30 plus years. Cottage was quiet. We did have squirrels dropping pecans on the roof lol took ys a bit to know what that was, we dont have nut trees where we live. Was very clean....and we loved seeing the dogs.

Amazing vacation rental!
This rental was by far one of the best houses we’ve stayed in at Fredericksburg. It was incredibly clean, looked exactly as shown in the pictures, with a convenient location. What really stood out to us was the attention to detail by the host. They put out wine, a cheese tray, and even treats for our pup with a sweet note. My husband and I will definitely be staying here when we’re in Fredericksburg rug again!

Perfect small space for us and our dog to stay without breaking the bank. Kind, communicative ownership that made us feel great. Some landscaping was going on in back yard, but the grass will come in nicely and be amazing.

Girls Getaway
Girls trip that was planned for Trade Days weekend and LOTS of winery/live music events happening. Bell Haus was perfect in all ways! Price, location, available amenities…and the family was precious! We even got to play with pups! Will definitely be booking here again!

Basic accommodations
We booked a trip to visit family at the last minute, so many of the other STR properties we’ve stayed at in town were already booked. We happened upon this cottage for a reasonable price and decided to give it a shot. It’s just fine, but nothing exceptional. Basically a hotel room in a private backyard. We never saw our hosts, but did see and hear their dogs, which was fine except when then let them out into the shared yard early in the morning, which led our dog to wake us at 6am barking at the dogs just outside. Also - be careful where you step in the backyard, as I ran across some dried dog poop. We knew the cottage was in a private backyard, but it was our first time trying out such a rental. It was definitely a bit weird walking into someone’s backyard to spend the night. I always felt like I was being watched from the windows as we came and went, but I don’t know if they did that or not. The room itself is just fine, but again - not much more than a hotel room offers. There was a small fridge, microwave and coffee pot, but no cooktop or any other way to cook meals. The AC worked after a while, but it took a day for us to figure out the pictographs on the remote control. We never could get the light to work on the ceiling fan. The Wi-Fi gave us about 20mbps tops. Several of the mini blinds were broken. All in all - it was a just fine stay, but nothing that would draw us back to stay here if we had other options.

Disappointing
Property owner was not prepared for our arrival and did not have lodging ready when we arrived. Parking was on the street, and had to walk across property owner's front yard to the small accommodations located in their back yard. Photos shown on this site do not reveal what the accommodations are really like. Property owner's dogs were let loose when we opened the gate to the back yard, and confronted our dog upon our attempted entry. Dog droppings were in walkway to the guest house. Accommodations inside were relatively clean after rushed preparation for us, and owner was nice enough and apologized, telling us she had a scheduling error. It seems that vacation rentals are all very high priced in the area, so maybe the price was not that unreasonable for the area but we would not even again consider the area for vacation in the future. We were unable to turn off bright outside lighting to darken the accommodations for sleeping, and the bed was not comfortable. I would suggest that the owners schedule a vacation in some other area such as the mountains of New Mexico to acquire a feel for renters' expectations. I would not rent this accommodation again in any area we might choose for a vacation.

This cottage was just what we needed to get away for the weekend! It was quiet, we had everything we needed in the cottage, and the hosts were welcoming with every detail inside the home. The bed was comfortable as well, and the shower was amazing! We loved the location since it was about a mile to downtown, and we will definitely book it again when we return!
