- Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
The only positive I have about this property is the location. It is close to the beach with a good view. However for over $300 a night in Galveston I was expecting more. The condition of the rooms was bad. We had booked two rooms. One had mold on the ceiling and the other had roaches in the bathroom. I have pictures of both. There was no room service for cleaning. We were told later that due to COVID-19 there was no cleaning/room service which was never mentioned at booking or checking in. No fresh towels were even brought until we called the front desk. The hotel was old overall and needed an upgrade. I understand that this was a Holiday Inn resort and not the Ritz Carlton but like I said I have stayed at plenty of Holidays Inns which I have always enjoyed but this particular property is not up to the standards of other Holiday Inns which were half the price. I understand that you are paying for location but at the very least you should have good customer service.
