"Had a wonderful stay. It was perfect for our needs. Therapeutic and the sound of the waves at night were so soothing. The place is lovely and cozy. The hot tub was a nice touch. The breakfast nook was a delight, Overlooking the beach. Staff was great and very friendly. Alex front desk agent and Shane were amazing. Thank you. We will definitely be returning. The environment was quiet and relaxing. It was the dream oceanfront room that I imagined for my husband’s birthday. The pictures on the website were nothing compared to real life. Real life was breathtaking. Inn at the Cove will be our hotel of choice when we visit Pismo. "

"I have stayed at the Santa Maria Inn multiple times for business and recently for personal reasons due to a family loss. Based on past positive experiences, I recommended it to my family for a family service. Upon arrival at 2:00 PM, I requested a slightly early check-in but had to wait until 3:00 PM, causing me to be late for the service. Even then, the room was not ready, and I had to return later to check in. I discovered the room had a single king-sized bed instead of the reserved two queen beds. The front desk apologized and offered a rollaway bed, which was not ideal. At midnight, we faced a door issue; the rollaway bed blocked access, and the upper latch was engaged. My keycard didn’t work on the second door. A staff member made new keycards but couldn’t open the door, requiring an engineer’s help at 1:15 AM. Despite the staff’s efforts, the experience was disappointing due to the series of issues, including not being able to check in on time and not receiving the reserved room. "
