"The property was clean but obviously an older property with dated furnishings and carpet. Only one of the lamps was plugged in and wall outlet was hard to get to. Our key card did not work and had to go to the desk and get another. The replacement card only worked once when wife went to get something from car. When returning to the room after breakfast, the replacement card did not work a second time. Lucky there was a repairman on the floor who let us back into our room."

"Do not eat at the Nietos Mexican Restaurant next door. All I ordered was queso and chips. Queso was vivid orange like cheeze whip, lumpy and got cold quickly. The chips are not fresh. Malakoff is just down the road.... The front desk clerk was nice but got impatient because I don't hear well and she had to repeat a lot. Those sconce lights are really bright. Could use a dimmer option. Overall, my stay was good. I would stay there again."

"Breakfast menu was consistent and met my minimum expectation. Bathroom was cleaned daily and spotless throughout my stay. Air conditioner worked perfectly. "

"Very beautiful home! We had a great time staying in Gun Barrel. Plenty of room for all and the room over the garage was an added bonus for the older kids. Loved the yard and the view. Plenty of parking and well stocked house, everyone was happy with our stay! I would maybe add some curtains to the front, took the trash out at night and could see a little too much on my way back in. But very satisfied overall!"

"AAMAZING FOOD TRUCKS OUTSIDE, THE SMASH BURGERS. I like how old management had grape foliage in the check in area, could use some more ambient lighting. kinda dark, we were in the upgraded units and i wish it had a roku or something for the tv, the tvs are really old and pixilated. the young man working there was very nice, these are recommendations and not complaints."

"Overall an excellent stay. The decor is dated, but it is clean and the beds are super comfortable. There was a sign at the front desk that the hotel will be updated sometime in 2026."
