“Its was neat and tidy, bathroom was a bit of an adventure, but spotless nonetheless. I probably wouldnt stay here if you had mobility issues, but it was good value for money. Pub grub was great, the barmaids were 5* ,They couldnt have been more helpful and polite. Easy walk into York and a few shops at the end of the road. Parking was excellent.”

“We entered the front and were met with a warm welcome at the bar. The place had a warm welcoming feel to it too. Once checked in we were taken to our room. The room was lovely. The bedroom was comfortable, clean and spacious. My wife and I immediately felt at home. The en-suite was also very clean and the shower was amazing. Was nice to freshen up after a long journey. There is a large car park at the rear and a lovely beer garden too. Slept well - beds were really comfy. As for breakfast - wow……

“Management didn't think about the impact of the hot weather as the room was so hot and they supplied a tiny fan that did nothing to cool the room. Lots of spots in the hotel needs updating or repairing. Both the staff and the leisure amenities were great.”

“A beautiful rural location with wonderful countryside views and nature in abundance in an elegant and very well cared for property. Attention to detail in seen throughout the hotel from arrival in the car park, through a perfectly manicured courtyard and pleasant reception area. My room looked out onto fields . Two large windows that let a lovely breeze into the room. Elegantly decorated room with all you need for a comfortable stay and perfect sleep. The bed was a dream. I slept all night……
