“This place was excellent! We decided to spend an extra night in Boothbay on a whim and stumbled upon Topside. We loved it so much that we'll absolutely be back. “This is an old property. Outdated small rooms. It was reasonably clean. If you want to be in the village, it is on the water. It's expensive due to location, not because it's a great place. There are better options that are still easy walking distance to the village.”

“Do not book the room with the queen sized bed. It is too small to fit the bed, nightstand, chair and two adults. It is located behind the office as kind of an after thought & better suited for a single bed and one person. We asked to be moved and were given a king sized bed room at no extra charge, which was nice. The place is definitely dated, lacks in-room amenities like a coffee maker & mini fridge, but these things are available for community use in the office. The location is great and we……

“Our room was a good size and had a 2 person balcony with a water view. The woman who checked us in was helpful and very friendly. The pillows on the bed were terribly hard and the sheets slippery, but the bed itself was comfortable. We didn’t get to have the included breakfast because we were interested in starting our day before it began. Overall a comfortable, convenient place to stay. I would stay again.”

“Clean and well-updated rooms. But the most impressive part of our stay was the restaurant. Food was extraordinary, some dishes were Michelin-level (we just returned from France). Their cod was ther most creative fish dish I ever tried and made me love kale that accompanied it! Crab cakes and lobster corn fritters were innovative and delicious. No wonder this restaurant is booked solid, no other place we ate in the area got even close! I think the owners have a gem of a chef and my highest……

“Property was just OK, but not what you would expect for the amount of money they charge per night. Old style motel rooms with no sound proofing are all for adjoining rooms or rooms above if you are on the first floor. Next time I would just spend a bit more and stay on the harbor.”
