This area is the heart of the town, offering a blend of historic charm and easy access to the waterfront. You'll find a network of narrow, pedestrian-friendly streets lined with traditional Basque houses, local eateries, and shops. The Old Port itself is a picturesque focal point, with small fishing boats and a relaxed ambiance.

For couples, this area is ideal. Strolling hand-in-hand through the historic streets, enjoying fresh seafood at a waterfront restaurant with views of the Cantabrian Sea, or simply relaxing on Playa de Marmiz provides a romantic and memorable experience. The area is also well-connected for exploring nearby coastal paths.

Families will also find this district appealing due to its proximity to the beach and the generally relaxed pace of life. Children can enjoy playing on Playa de Marmiz, and the compact nature of the Old Town means attractions are easily accessible on foot without extensive travel.
