“Booked the room for my grandkids to enjoy the “water park” and found out when we went to pool that you can only use slide Thursday,Friday,Saturday! This was never mentioned anywhere during booking! Very disappointed!”

“The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. We really liked the room decor, and everything was very comfortable. We attempted to use the bathroom hair dryer, but it instantly smelled like smoke when we turned it on - so we opted to not continue use. The main lock on our door wasn’t functional, but thankfully there was a chain lock we could latch. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would come here again.”

“Everything was great. The room was clean and comfortable. The eggs and sausage were good. My only gripe is the $100 depot is a bad idea. We will never stay at this place again!”

“4 girlfriends stayed one night for a birthday celebration. House description was accurate. Host responded quickly. Very clean. Loved the extras that were provided, coffee, tea and some snacks. The massage chair was awesome! It was too cold to use the hot tub, but it was only 410 feet away from a cute Irish Bar which has good food and drinks.The house isn't in the prettiest of neighborhoods, but once you step inside this diamond in the rough, it was worth it.”

“This historic location was an amazing home base for our girl’s trip to NE Iowa. It’s clean and such a unique place to stay. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of room for the four of us. Our favorite part was people watching from the sun room area, although margaritas on the back patio were a close second. :)”

“It was a wonderful, unique experience to stay in an authentic log cabin. It was very clean and well decorated.We did have trouble with having enough hot water for the whirlpool tub but the host said he would have it fixed for the next guest. But even without that convenience, I would definitely recommend staying!”
