“This was a first time staying here and it was more than we can have expected. The staff is friendly and helpful. We did not make a reservation for dinner and they were able to add us and the steak was one of the best we have had. Coffee the next morning with great stories around a fire pit was really fun. “The hotel is an older treasure! The 24' lobby with soaring columns with golden frieze around the tops are stunning. There is a great grand piano in the lobby that guests on our other frequent visits have played beautiful music on. The food and service in the restaurant very good. The rooms are not huge and neither are the bathrooms, but they are clean, comfortable and the decor is interesting - with letters and postcards from the early 1900s. “Oliver House is in the heart of town, love it! It's pet friendly, love that too. Clean and spacious room. The window view from our room was of the B on top of the mountain. It gave me inspration to hike it, so the next morning that's just what I did! Everyone in town is so nice! With free Wifi, we watched movies from our laptop, 'Tombstone' and 'Wyatt Earp'. What a fun escape for us, a much needed vacation. Thank you!”
