“Air conditioning was not working. But luckily it cooled down enough at night to make it bearable. The room and the balcony were great as was the staff. ”

“It’s an amazing building from yesteryears exceptionally restored and updated. The staff is warm and friendly and it is located in walking distance of everything right next door to a Detroit people mover station. Highly recommend”

“Beautiful property but there wasn’t extra toilet paper and Kleenex in the room and the bathroom shelf wasn’t secure. It was also pretty warm and we didn’t have individual control of our room temp. A mini fridge would have gone a long way. There was also no tea in the lobby. I would stay there again in the spring or fall. ”

“Booked through Expedia obviously. The hotel took the portion that was supposed to be taken from Expedia taken from my credit card used for incidentals at check in. Still trying to get ahold of element hotel to get my money back. So basically paid for hotel twice.”

“Staff is very friendly, environment is clean and high class, it’s in walking distance of all things downtown and overall a comfortable stay. Only downfall is no breakfast, BUT, they do have an amazing cocktail bar called “Candy Bar” and their cocktail specialties are unique and packed with flavor. Baristas at front of lobby are also kind, and lattes are spot on.”

“what a beautiful inn! We were in town for a concert at the Little Caesars Arena. I wish we could've stayed at the 97 longer. When I return to Detroit, I will definitely stay here again.”

“The A/C was broken, did not function at all; the shower door has high pitch squeaking sound every time i closed it. Everything else is good.”
