“An excellent stay. Food, staff”

“Room was clean and modern and good size for one person……wonderful location close to Cardiff castle and city centre….. beautiful big park close by…..excellent location with the National Express depot 5 minutes away for transfers to London airports or Swansea…. Pub itself and surround on the premises were run down and dated….. needed some money spent to tidy it up….”

“I was in the building adjacent to the pub and my room faced the fields - what a view! I had a double room and it was very clean and spacious, although a small bit of feedback, I think the carpets could do with a clean soon but everything else was great. The receptionist checking me in was so friendly. The breakfast was so tasty, the bacon and sausage were thick and chunky, really good quality. The staff at breakfast were attentive and friendly and I loved how everything was locally sourced……

“Room 9 Bathroom shower was a disaster. One could not turn off the overhead shower fixed head in order to use just the hand-held shower.”

“Room was big and well appointed.”

“My overall assessment on the stay would rate it no more than a three star. There are some minor maintenance issues that need to be looked into. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was very good and the full English was excellent. The idea of filling out what you wanted for breakfast the previous day was not really how I would like it as this might change, I would prefer to decide on the day. Conclusion: The accommodation was a little tired and in need of a spruce up.”

“The hotel was clean and the bed comfortable, the breakfast was terrible, toast burnt black and poached egg was solid and in edible, staff asked if I wanted another, I said as long it was not the same as the one that had been presented too me, it never turned up after about half an hour so I left, never to return”
