“We made a late afternoon booking but Denise the manager called us right away from home and made sure we would have keys and our room would be ready. The House is magnificent, we really appreciate the owners vision and write up. History should be preserved . Location was close to many downtown shops and restaurants. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend staying there to anyone. Look forward to returning again one day.”

“Lee and David are wonderful hosts!”

“It is a beautiful place but if you want a healthy big breakfast then you should know that only have little boxes of cereal and old pastries. Their were also men cutting branches right outside of our room. The room was clean and comfortable. The jacuzzi tub didn't work. We still had a wonderful anniversary. The Castle restaurant serves really good food and live music was good. The staff were very hospitable and fun.”

“Debbie and Gregory were wonderful hosts. They made you feel right at home in a history rich location. Make sure you make time for the breakfast, it was delicious.”

“Peaceful and quiet easy to find. Great views of Mississippi.. Lovely pool and lots of outdoor spaces to relax. Good room slept well nice compact bathroom. Didnt meet host. Average breakfast at Monmouth.which is a lovely stately home. Dont have the french toast basically fried bread with what didnt look like cream cheese in between and dusted with powdered sugar no fruit as you would usually have - wasnt good!”

“Breakfast was outstanding. Room was very clean. Staff was helpful. There was no pool.”
