Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse Tours

Upon arrival staff was friendly. Getting to room and realizing it was a motel not a hotel was disturbing. Had my wife and one year old daughter with me, had I known that the doors were accessible to the outside I would not have booked a stay here. It was Sunday night and I could hear a drunk pounding on doors at 11pm. Thankful they did not pound on my door but over all not impressed and will not be staying there ever again.

I should have read reviews before booking. This hotel was a minimalist hotel…no fridge, no microwave, no tv, no cups for a drink of water after brushing your teeth, no place to sit except on the beds. Staff were friendly and helpful. When there was no heat in the room they brought a space heater. We had breakfast one morning at their restaurant and it was delicious and plentiful. Unfortunately I couldn’t eat it all and was asked if I would like to take the leftovers, but with no fridge in the room I declined. Our room was clean and beds were made up the second day and we got fresh towels without having to ask After spending over $700. for two nights we would not stay there again.
