“This is exactly what I pictured when I imagined staying in Scotland. The house is beautiful and the owners along with their two dogs could not be anymore wonderful. We also had one of our best breakfasts in Scotland.”

“I had a short connection - late evening to early morning. Staff was fine but restaurant closed at 9pm with no options for a light bite while transiting through on an overnight connection. The room was dated and the bathroom not the cleanest, due to being dated - you can’t keep old rooms immaculate. I had a total of 5 hours to sleep but was woken up by the fire alarm going off at 1230am. It is also a long walk to the airport if you wanted to go for that option - the farthest walk of all the ABZ……

“The lodge was very clean, well kept, and modern. Had all the facilities you would need for a short stay. Although it was just off a main road, there was plenty private parking just outside the lodge and the road was barely noticeable. The farm shop located across the grounds was lovely, and well worth a browse. The cafe in the farm shop was excellent, best breakfast I’ve had in a long time and reasonably priced. Staff were pleasant, helpful, and professional. ”

“Our visit to Leslie Castle was the highlight of our trip to Scotland. Beautifully restored inside and out with a fascinating history and an intriguing story of how this castle was brought back to life from ruins. John and Nicola are wonderful hosts and they make every effort to ensure a 5 star experience for their guests …. from gourmet meals to locally sourced amenities and special touches like honey from the castle beehives. “I spent five days at the lodge. The staff is excellent. Most have been working at the lodge for 20+ years. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and bathroom was small but functional. I appreciated being able to open the windows at night for fresh air. The pub is first rate. I strongly suggest having breakfast there.
