“The room was clean and well equipped Everything that we needed was available The room was warm and the bed comfortable Recommend the four poster room The bar area was good with good service and a good selection of drinks The food was excellent and the staff excellent too Breakfast was excellent with good selection and all cooked fresh Would recommend anyone to stay there ”

“We were in one of the refurbished rooms which was vey clean, however there is obviously still some additions that are required in the main areas that look very drab and neglected. The heating in the bedroom was good but the en-suite bathroom had no heating at all and was so cold you didn't want to shower in there, the addition of some form of heating is needed here .A bin in the bathroom and some sort of shelf to put your own bits and pieces on would be useful.A mirror in the bedroom would be……

“The manager was lovely and showed us around the room and let us know any key things we needed to know. The room was absolutely lovely, proper cosy country vibes and loved the special touch of a large bottle of sparkling and still water and cookies in our room. Would highly recommend as place to stay! ”

“We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay.”
