"It took awhile for staff to find our reservation through Expedia, we weren’t sure if it even existed on their end.. It’s about an hour walk to the city center, but bus, bike, taxi options are available. The staff were rude when we struggled to buy smokes from the machine in reception (if you don’t have European ID, good luck!). Our porch light didn’t work in our glamp tent and it wasn’t the best quality but amenities make it worth it- shops, restaurant, pool/jacuzzi, laundry, etc., though it doesn’t seem the pool is open in early September."

The property is excellently maintained, updated bathrooms, pristine swimming pool. We opted for the visiting chef one evening as well which was very special. "We visited four very different parts of Italy and our stay at Fattoria Lavacchio may have been our favorite. One important thing to know that was a little tricky to figure out was that you check-in at “Casabella”. The property belonging to Fattoria Lavacchio includes multiple buildings spread along 1km or so of the road. Our room ended up being an apartment about 300m from Casabella (the building in the pictures here with the pool). There was not traditional a/c but we didn’t need it with the fans and air coolers they provided. We also loved sleeping with the windows wide open and no need for screens because no bugs!! Even in the hottest part of the summer!! We love star gazing at night, cooking class overlooking the winery, horseback riding, and dinner on the patio by the pool. We also enjoyed the breakfast with fresh juices and jams made there at Fattoria Lavacchio. They also make their own olive oil. We felt very relaxed and refreshed after our visit there. Wish we could have stayed longer!"

"Gorgeous place, amazing views. They overbooked dinner and we had a wait of 2 hours for our food to come out. Pool was amazing and there was two to choose from, one looked quieter. Main part of the building is 15th century, which was beautiful. Easy to find with google maps NOT Apple Maps. Plenty of parking."

"Our stay at Rignano sull'Arno was absolute perfection! This gorgeous, spacious old villa was the dream setting for our family vacation. We brought a group of 15—ranging from 2.5 to 84 years old—and the property had something to make everyone happy. The rooms are incredibly large and filled with beautiful antiques that perfectly match the era of the home. The grounds are simply magnificent, with perfect photo ops around every corner! For the cooks in our family, the kitchen was a dream, fully equipped with everything needed to prepare meals. We absolutely loved using the outdoor pizza oven and dining alfresco on the patio. The pool was huge, refreshing, and a total delight for swimmers, with plenty of chairs and umbrellas for everyone. Paolo even arranged a private chef to cook for us one night, making it an unforgettable evening."
