“A group of family members from three states stayed at Battle Rock for the Thanksgiving holiday. The location was perfect, the house was perfect, and the weather was perfect. The setup of the house was ideal for our group, beds and chairs were all very comfortable, and the kitchen was very well suited for multiple big meals being cooked by multiple people at the same time. “The house was clean and comfortable for our group of two couples. The location allowed for viewing the stormy ocean while indoors and easily slipping down to the beach between rain storms. I didn't realize that one must go through the bedroom with the bunk beds to access the upstairs bedroom. This wasn't a problem for us but others may want to be aware of this. I also didn't realize that there was no dishwasher other than ourselves and those who came before us...There were a few items that we……

“We enjoyed this property very much. It is well stocked with towels, kitchen utensils, a hair dryer, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, laundry soap. The ice maker, dish washer and laundry all worked well. Hot tub was very clean and warm. The location can't be beat in Port Orford. We walked most anywhere we needed to go. The grocery store is a short drive. This is a well laid out house. If you want to go to bed early, the master bedroom is far enough away from the living room to cut down……

“Stayed for a month. We love the Oregon coast, and this property gave us access to so much! We hiked the cape and point trails at the coast guard station numerous times, as well as, other trails up and down the coast. Found lots of agates. Deer came through our yard sometimes twice a day, and we watched them through huge picture windows. This property was remodeled by someone with superior style and carpentry skills. The upstairs loft area is spectacular.”

“Very cute little cottage part way up a hill with a fantastic view of the bay from either the balcony or just propped up on pillows while laying in bed. A public access beach is two short blocks away. Beach is very dog friendly and not crowded at all. The town is very sleepy but there are a few good places to eat. The crazy Norwegian serves really good fish and chips, and the Redfish restaurant has excellent food and a great view. Make sure to get reservations though.”

“Loved the location! Very quiet and peaceful. We fully enjoyed the fireplace each night! So glad the owners let it be enjoyed. The house was clean, and the view was beautiful! The kitchen had mostly everything we needed to cook.”

“Location was wonderful- the views were breathtaking and a quick walk to the Museum and trails. The house was nice with cozy linens and blankets. Only problems: The hot tub badly needed to be cleaned and we lost power to the property one morning. We texted and e mailed the property manager with no response. Ever. Power eventually came back on, which was great! But absolutely zero response or even checking in to make sure we had power later in the day. As long as you dont need to reach the……

“View of ocean, beach and mountains, all just 2 minutes away by car. House was very nice. Would like better quality chairs for eating at table and bar but leather overstuffed chair and couch wete very comfy, so was the bed. Loved the jacuzzi too.. Amazing views out every window.”
