"Excellent home. Clear and detailed instructions on check in from the owner made that process super simple. House was super clean, comfortable and quiet. Much appreciated central air conditioning for the “heat wave” that settled in during our stay. Well-furnished kitchen and the complimentary waters and snacks are a thoughtful touch. "The apartment was dirty and the stovetop partially worked (1 burner only) I found a piece of fried chicken in the oven, a used Qtip and hairs on the bathroom floor. I would never stay here again, unless the cleaning standards and functionality improved. "

"We had a comfortable stay at this home. The beds were cozy, and the host was very responsive and friendly throughout the process. The house served its purpose for our trip, but it’s clear that the property has seen some use. A few maintenance issues stood out: one of the upstairs lamps was missing a knob and couldn’t be turned on, and the largest burner on the stove wasn’t working, which made cooking a bit less convenient. Overall, it was a functional space and met our needs, but a few updates would go a long way in improving the guest experience."

"We were in town for a robotics tournament, and this home was a great place to stay. There were 6 of us, and there was plenty of room for everyone to sleep and hang out. It was a 15 minute drive to the venue (Alerus Center) and restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The house was spacious, clean, and has everything you need to make a meal if you’d like. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms were stocked with really nice thick towels. No complaints whatsoever. This place has it all. Highly recommend!"

"We didn’t hear from the owner on the rental day and were traveling from 2 states away already. I finally sent a message wondering why we hadn’t got any check in information…I was then informed that this rental was being rented out long term!! I had to fully pay the VRBO amount 10 months earlier and now it wasn’t available??!!
He said he had another unit elsewhere and would get that ready for us! I was shocked! This wasn’t what we signed up for and our vacation was ruined!! BEWARE BEWARE OF THIS RENTER!! VRBO NEEDS TO INTERVENE IN THIS PERSONS ABILITY TO POST RENTALS ON THIS WEBSITE!!"

"The main floor and additional downstairs allowed us to spread out. The kitchen was basic, but allowed us to make a couple of simple meals. I appreciated that the two bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths provided us the space and comfort for our family.
The neighborhood is rather rough and the exterior of the building made me pause when we approached, but the inside showed care and was clean."

"The housecleaning was completely lacking. Below are some of the things that I observed:
House cleaning: (Just to name some of the things, there are more, it is clear that this house has not had a deep cleaning in a LONG time) - Gross brown spots on tile next to toilet (which looked suspiciously like blood; and I cleaned myself) - Towels don’t match, some are old and have gray tinge to them; they are not uniformly folded or placed on the shelf in any order - Shower curtain smells sour, there is pink mildew at the base - Stains on pillow case covers - Floors are not clean (particularly under the furniture and by the baseboards, but in general - Throw rugs are stained and dirty - Windows and window frames are filthy - Microwave front and inside has not been cleaned - Hand prints on the mirror in the tv room - Dirty smudges on the banister
Maintenance: - BBQ collapsed (Propane was not provided. If this is listed as an amenity it should be in working order with all the supplies) - Curtain rod in tv room slid off when I opened the curtains; it is taped together and the ends fell off - Gouge in the drywall above the door to the hallway - Floor board piece loose and sometimes comes off - Toilet seat hinge is broken causing the seat to slide sideways - Missing outlet covers thagain uponretu"
