“This formerly independent hotel was just purchased by a major name brand a few weeks before our stay, and they were right in the middle of the major makeover while we were there. The hotel is in desperate need of updates, deep cleaning, and repairs, which they were working on, but there was junk everywhere, doors, mattresses, & appliances lining the hallways & lobby, construction noise early in the mornings, etc. I get it, they're working on it, but our stay was definitely not typical. “Leaving a 3 star because management should have responded a message i had sent 3 days prior to arrival. a NON-REFUNDABLE because pet, plus the pet fee extremely high. Higher than the price of the room Automated message said that but i kept asking if it was correct or it was mispelled , if they could have responded on time would have cancelled and find somewhere else that the fee is less than the daily price. Problem is the management; not employees and not the place”
