“Staff were lovely but the property needs a lot of TLC. The bathroom is tiny but well equipped. Good location for st Michael's Mount but not much else nearby. Bonus was, they offered breakfast included but we weren't hungry enough for a full English breakfast 😟”

“I was in Penzance for a weekend conference. I just needed local accommodation to come back to at the end of the day. The Pirate Inn provided even more than that. I had Room 1 in the pub itself. It was a small room but beautifully laid out and decorated. Ensuite bathroom (with a bath!). And a fridge. And an abundant supply of refreshments. If I had had more time I would have liked to have enjoyed the pub and food onsite. Thank you so much to the staff who were very welcoming.”

“The room was clean and the staff were very helpful. We stayed in the disabled access room which was very good. The only thing we would say is the the toilet is very low for a disabled person, even with the grab bars. ”

“A lovely few days in St Ives. Helpful friendly staff perfect location on the harbour breakfast was excellent and even won a few few lines at the lifeboat inn bingo night. Would definitely recommend and go again.”

“Darren at reception was really lovely, the lady who served us breakfast in the morning was very lovely and accommodating. The hotel dog ran up to us barking as we were leaving, which was a bit alarming. The bedroom was simple and clean. Unfortunately the hotel has an awful smell, even in the bedrooms, like damp or mouldy carpets. A bee was in our room, luckily my husband was able to get it out. I appreciate it is an old historic building, but a deep clean and refresh of the carpets might help.”

“Very clean rooms and friendly hosts. It was quite cool in the evenings with heating only on in the mornings and there was no communal lounge area to sit in so we felt we were confined to our bedroom. ”

“The hosts were lovely. Clean, safe, comfortable, good common area includes fridge, glasses, plates & cutlery. Delicious breakfasts with a view of the colourful boat harbour. The pub in Mousehole (5 min walk) was good. Parking is a short distance away but make sure you have cell / text service to use the parking app in case the only machine in the lot isn't working as the next lot is 2 miles away! Would stay here again!!!”
