I messaged the property owner via the VRBO app the day before check-in and then texted the morning of our arrival because I hadn't received any check-in instructions. Onsite property manager Reed was friendly and welcoming and quick to share helpful tips about the area.”

I highly recommend this place - I will still hear next time we come through La Veta. The house has everything you need! Perfect for a man like me who loves chopping wood and having fires. The inside had a big kitchen for the wives. The rooms have tons of board games for the kids. You will love this place; I know we did.”

“we stayed on this property in July 2023. We had two couples and one individual. This property was cramped and not clean, and also very dark downstairs. The beds t downstairs were very uncomfortable. Bathroom downstairs very small. The cook wear was very old. I actually found mouse droppings in the crockpot that I was hoping to use. Mouse traps several places. Towels very old and raggedy. The upstairs was roomy, comfy bed, but had issues with the toilet flushing and no towels supplied up there.……

“This is the second time we have stayed here and once again, it was great. This property very well appointed and well maintained. It is a short walk to Main St. La Veta, which is very nice. Sitting on the deck in the afternoon, with the sun and the Cuchara River is very relaxing. It is a great choice!”

“Everything was great. The cabin is in a great location, and you have access to a variety of parks, trails, etc. The cabin is clean and extremely well organized. We got hit by a mid-March snowstorm and got snowed in for a day, and Krista went out of her way to get us plowed out and provide information. Great overall experience and highly recommended!”

“I should have read the description more carefully. I’ve never stayed in a bed and breakfast before. Gaylene was lovely and very welcoming. But having a common room was unexpected for me. I wanted to watch a little tv but wasn’t comfortable going downstairs to the “living room” and there’s no tv in the rooms. But still a lovely place. ”
