"Very cute a-frame in pleasant neighborhood, home is totally private as it is surrounded by beautiful trees and shrubs. Home is very clean and well organized, lots of amenities and I loved that there was no tv though the boys grumbled a little at first (they ended the trip saying it was nice to not have the tv)! Super quick drive to Maxwelton beach. Host is very attentive and kind. Would highly recommend this property if you’re staying on Whidby!"

Some highlights were the amazingly comfortable beds, the daybed in the sunroom, the sunroom overlooking the bay, the hot tub, playing games, foraging for and eating fresh (and grilled) oysters, walks on the beach, seeing bald eagles and seals, kayaking, the kitchen, taking senior pictures in such an incredible location and so much more… cleanliness is a clear priority to this host and that was appreciated. "This was our second time staying at this property and we liked it as much the second time as the first! Our dog loves the fenced in yard (though she was able to get in under the deck, so if that could be closed off that would fantastic.) Plenty of space for a family of four. Great location and we love walking around the neighborhood and enjoying the view from the deck. Highly recommend!"

"Such a cute little house. We only ran into a couple of issues. There were bugs that found their way into the house (like a lot of lady bugs) but the weather was just warming up. The other was that the shower was slow to drain. If you have more people staying, the only bathroom is located inside the main bedroom, so if people take late night bathroom trips that can be an issue. We loved the location and the property was so clean. The views were stunning and the hot tub was a huge plus!...

"Our stay was just what the doctor ordered. This is a peaceful, secluded little gem of a hideaway. We spent most of our time taking turns reading in the hammock, paddling in the lake and cooking and eating outdoors on the grill and lovely patio. This place is great!"

The ad gives the impression that the house is a beach front property but the beach is shared with other houses on the street. Everyone in the neighborhood was welcoming and nice. It was great to have a fenced in yard for the dogs, no holes or ways to escape. I gave four stars for cleanliness because everything at eye level and below was clean but there was a lot of cobwebs and dust in higher surfaces. It...
