While booking and during online check-in, the room shown was completely different from what we actually received. We paid for a family room, but were assigned a room with no windows, no ventilation, and four enclosed walls. It felt more like a dormitory than a hotel room.
We also noticed that the higher floors appeared to be assigned to White and Chinese guests by default, while other guests were placed on lower floors. This was based on conversations with other guests on our floor and was our experience, though we cannot confirm the hotel’s room assignment policy.
We had to wait till 4:17 pm for check in. While several others got instant check in. Unable to understand this bias.
There are several better accommodation options available in the same area that offer better value and a more pleasant stay.
