“Clean and tidy room No air conditioner it was extremely hot over 31 degrees celsius and the window could not be opened due to a window safety cable. We had to cut our stay shorts it was just too hot and we could not sleep in the room. Very stuffy fan just circulated hot air. Very disappointing thought Best Western had a minimum standard across the chain this one certainly did not compare to others.....”

“This hotel is the back of beyond and not very pleasant.. restaurant not open for evening meals due to the heat.. no fans in the rooms so broken ones were found but were absolutely filthy .. it appeared that the ground floor of the hotel was let to the local housing team for those in need… cleaning staff were lovely and helpful as were both the front of house team but would not recommend staying here … this should be solely turned over to the local council…”

“We had a traumatic experience going to see `take `that weeks before. Trying to get a taxi out of the city. It was 1am when we got back to the hotel. The concert finished at 10.30. 5 women in our 60’s waiting on a pavement in Cardiff was awful. So I asked the Coach and Horses if we could cancel and have a refund (this hotel is a taxi ride way!) they refused as it was non refundable rooms. So I asked them several times. If I could have a credit note £270!! Not including breakfast is a lot to lose,……

“Upon arrival there was a sign saying the pool, sauna and steam room were going to be out if order for half of my stay, this was not communicated at all and no compensation or adjustment made to the room rate to compensate especially being in mid to high 3 figures. Tried to book a massage onb3 seperate occasions only to be told on Monday the entire afternoon had been blocked off for no reason, one day they had no availability and one day they had someone working who couldnt even offer the full……

“Kel and Mel made us feel very welcome when we arrived. Gave us ideas about what we could do. We enjoyed a day walking along the canal and the next day to a local sites. The Breakfast was excellent.”

“We had a wonderful stay at this b and b which is in a beautiful setting. The hosts Sarah and Paul went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The breakfasts were very good with lots of choices and catered well for my gluten free needs.”

“We booked a studio for two nights which was on 1/F and clean. A bottle of milk and some cakes were offered, which tasted good. We could park in the driveway or on the street. We visited the Four Waterfalls and hiked to the Pen y Fan along the horse shoe route, both spots were within 30 minutes of drive. Tesco and restaurants were just within a few minutes.”
