"The staff at Galle Face Hotel were exceptional; every member of the team we interacted with was extremely hospitable, welcoming and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Their service stood out and made the visit memorable. That said, the condition of the building itself was quite disappointing and did not reflect the quality of the staff. The room's control panels barely functioned, and the air conditioning was inconsistent at times. During heavy rain, the window seals were not adequate, and water leaked into the room overnight, leaving puddles inside. Again, the staff were among the best service we've experienced, but the property itself is in need of significant maintenance and upgrades to match the level of hospitality provided."

"Marino Beach hotel was a welcome surprise. The lobby is beautiful, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and professional. The buffet was overflowing with variety, perhaps better than the Shangri-La. My only note is that if you are a light sleeper, the walls are very thin, and there is a lot of noise. Not from outside, such as traffic, but noise of other guests and cleaners slamming doors, etc. If not for this, it would be my favorite hotel in Colombo."

"Hotel reception area is very nice and brand new. Staff are also nice. Because it’s a new hotel the air in the bedroom smell dusty which made it somewhat uncomfortable. I booked a room with city view but I could only see a warehouse and a forest from my room on the 6th floor."
