“A beautiful view but not a great option if you have any kind of mobility issues. Be prepare to walk up and down multiple flights of stairs. No elevators anywhere. That qualification aside, a beautiful place .”

“The hotel is situated halfway up the hill, overlooking the softly winding Douro River and its surrounding landscapes. Birds chirp in the mountains, and the occasional sound of dogs barking only adds to the tranquility. The room is very clean and bright, and you can enjoy the beautiful view while lying in bed. Even more commendable are the two young staff members, Diego and Camilo, who serve guests with warmth and courtesy. They are sincere and friendly, without any trace of the typical……

“This trip just keeps getting better and better! This is NOT a hotel. It is more a resort guest house. Complete luxury with a setting in the hill/mountains of the Douro valley that is right out of movie setting. Friendly helpful staff always eager to help. The room was luxurious, the included breakfast was just out of this world. Off season prices made this incredible place even better! The only reason I gave it 5 starts was because 6-7-8 were not available!”
