February 1st, and snow is sparse in Tahoe. We parked at the Brockway Summit Parking, but crossed the road and headed up the mountain on Spur Trail. It was warm and quiet.

About a 2 mile hike up to the vista point, and the view was not disappointing! Gorgeous lake and the company of good friends.
Beautiful Squaw Valley in Lake Tahoe, site of 1968 winter Olympic. This was taken a month ago but now the snow is all likely gone because of the driest January on record.
Spent the weekend in Truckee, but stopped in Tahoe City on the way home.

Lake waters have receded quite significantly, but the lake is clear and beautiful.
