The hotel lobby and check in area is kind of weird. Our room was not ready when we checked in at 7pm and we had to wait around for 30 minutes while the got us another one. The staff was not very friendly.

Don’t skip France because of the strike, be flexible, walk, find new neighborhoods and museums. Lots still open. You are safe! Just avoid demonstrations. Security tight in Some places but always helpful and courteous. The French people still want you
