Do not let the name of this hotel fool you like it did me! Absolutely filthy with several different types of bugs crawling on beds and floors! Cobwebs, dirt, cigarette butts, dead bugs and hair coating the bottom of all very old wooden bed rails and head and footboards! Sheets and towels were stained. Very small TV did not work. Floors were covered with very old nasty carpet and when I moved the large stained chair to block the door because the lock did not work, there were approximately 30 dead doodle bugs and other bugs and dirt under the chair! The baseboards and corners were filthy, again with dead bugs, hair and dirt! We had to go to Walmart and buy cleaning supplies, bleach and disinfectants and bed bug spray and spent 2 hours cleaning and disinfecting that room!! If there had been one other place available in the entire city of Tyler we would have certainly left, but there was none due to tournaments and other events throughout the city of Tyler! Of course I voiced my complaint when checking out and the nice young man behind the counter apologized and had me write my complaint and name, number and email to be given to the owner in order for him to contact me, but of course I never received a call or email. The laughable topper was when I was told I wouldn’t receive my deposit back on my card until the housekeeper checked my room to make sure it was CLEAN!! NEVER AGAIN will we stay here! I will go to Dallas and drive back and forth first if nothing else is available!
