"The hotel was very good value overall. It was clean throughout and although basic everything worked fine. Breakfast was above average and the lounge bar was cheaper than bars nearby. My main gripe is the description; with the photographs being misleading. There are two buildings in the complex each with their own reception (although the staff alternate between the two sites). We went to the building on the beach as this is shown on the booking site, however they told us we were in the other building a few minutes walk away. No dramas but it isn't what we thought we had booked. "

"We were so happy to swim in the indoor heated pool and the lovely warm sauna was perfect after a day of exploring the old town. The breakfast we received as we waited for our taxi to the airport was delicious . Perfect location, great staff, comfortable bed!"

"It was first time to be in Portugal but the experience was unforgettable moments in life . The food was good and the welcoming experience was amazing. Will be back soon with our children and also the area was very quite which will be ideal for taking a break from England. "

"Best hotel in a very long time. Convenient, views for days. Tons of things to do in the resort, even tho lot of restaurants were closed aince we did visit off season. Come for the views, they are the stars of the show. My wife and i arent big on spa or golf so that wasn't big deal for us. Breakfast was phenomenal, best we had. Staff was wonderful. Easy parking is a big plus if you come with the car. Would stay again if opportunity blows us this way. "

"This is a great hotel. Clean, spacious and our favourite a coffee machine that you can use anytime. The rooms are spacious with their own kitchenette and balcony. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. You can order a breakfast pack that is plenty of food and you can choose to eat in your room or downstairs in the lounge area. We would highly recommend this hotel."

"I didn’t use the wifi as I had my own. The bed was terrible and woke up with back and hips very sore. For the price they charge I don’t feel was good value especially charging 15-20 euros for a short trip to the airport. "

"This was our third visit to the Cerro Mar Gardens. We stayed there in April 2024, February 2025, and February/March 2026. The apartments are comfortable, but not luxurious, and definitely suitable for families. The kitchens are well equipped for light cooking over extended stays and include an induction top stove, a good size oven, a reasonable refrigerato, a dishwasher, toaster, drip coffee maker, and a washing machine. There's a large outdoor pool, an large indoor pool, a gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and cold tub. Plus a restaurant and bar."
