“Disappointed that we had 2 rooms the same booked One was a lovely room with a large tv soft bed The other very hard bed & sparce Got moved to a family room like a dormitory Wifi didn't work at all Reception/restaurant bar was in another building so as Im disabled I had to drive too ”

“Lovely warm welcome. Room warm and cosy (211) with a slightly challenging lock. Very tasty roast dinner and breakfast the next morning. The little town was quiet but lots of pubs and little shops, plus riverside walks too. Would recommend.”

“Bar well stocked room very basic and very tired room the room needs a good clean and updating although bed was very clean and comfortable extras required in bathroom such as a shelf and a floor mat ”

“It was a nice and very easy trip. The hotel was lovely. The staff were great. The bar was great. They recommended a nice café around the corner of breakfast. Great time all round.”

“The property was clean and tidy and couldn't be faulted. The problem was with their check in procedure. Phone a number which took nearly 20 minutes to get answered requiring repeated redialling. After getting the key to the room, it turned out the wrong key had been put in the keysafe box.....so... another phone call to their help desk, this time taking 25 minutes to eventually get answered. Once that was finally sorted out, all in all over 45 minutes, i ended up being late for my appointment……

“Different experience traveling from the US- shared bathroom, check-in at the bar in the adjacent restaurant, modestly lit path along the side of the building to the hallway door that led to the rooms.”

“Found a bed bug on my neck as getting into bed (didn't know what it was at the time, since identified thru Google). Woke up feeling as if been bitten several times across back and neck. Bed linen was at least clean. General state of room was poor with repairs done to a low standard. Shower door didn't cost properly into its frame. Didn't try breakfast as didn't have time.”

“The suites were both extremely spacious, but the air con in one is very loud and there is no air con in the other. Some areas of the hotel look a little tired. With that said though, it is a wonderful venue and the staff were extremely helpful. The food is good, the golf course looks great, and the surroundings are very pleasant too. A great place to stop overnight or for a golf trip I imagine.”

“The food was fantastic, very nicely presented and good choices for all appetites. Wish I lived nearer, then I would be able to “eat “ my way through the menu .”

“Room 3 Curtains not blinds that flap about even when windows closed. Bright lights outside makes it then flashing the room. Poor outdated bathroom with bad bath shower. Water not hot. Noise from interlocking bathroom next door. No sound proofing. Girl in reception was very good, welcoming and helpful. ”
