"Our big group of 16 stayed at Walking Bear Lodge for a week and it felt magical from the moment we arrived. Nestled in what felt like our own little forest just off the main road, the beautiful log cabin provided the perfect combination of rustic Montana charm and modern comfort for our four extended families. The house itself is spacious, strategically built for separate dwellings but also designed for intentional gatherings. We cooked meals together in the two kitchens and were able to keep one dedicated gluten free for our celiac family members. Sitting around the stone fireplace in the main living room while we planned our days of hiking to Glacier, playing games, or watching movies was a comforting joy and the perfect spot to gather. There was always room for everyone to relax, play, and reconnect, whether around the fireplace, the grand kitchen table, the front deck, hot tub, or the outdoor fire pit. We had everything we needed and would definitely return for another stay!"

"The staff was very friendly. It was a clean and nice hotel. There is some construction but I knew that before staying and it didn’t bother us. The are doing a lot of updating which is nice. We did have a hiccup with being put in a room other than what I booked through Expedia but they were able to refund the difference and get us in the room we originally booked for a couple nights. I would just call and make sure they get the same info as what you book on Expedia before your stay so that you know for sure you are getting the right room. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again! "

"Close to Whitefish Mtn, excellent for on-mountain sports and recreation.Close enough to downtown Whitefish but still out of the mix, very quiet.Property amenities good for families, we did not use though to review.Would return!"

"I was so pleased with this property--It is exactly as listed! It was really a comfortable stay and the owners made everything very easy. It was VERY well stocked with everything from dish soap to bug spray to sandwich bags and everything else in between. (We left our unused bear spray as a gift of gratitude to the others who have contributed all these things.) Montana has a lot of sunlight during the summer and the blackout shades were an especially nice addition. The property is a duplex-style house and although there were people in the attached house, we did not hear a peep from them. I would 100% stay here again! "
