The staff was warm, friendly, and helpful, and the place was clean and comfortable with a nice historic flavor to it. However, the water pressure from the sink faucet was so weak that it was difficult to wash your hands, I had to request soap for the shower, and the breakfast foods in addition to juice and coffee, were limited to some store bought pastries and cookies. I would stay here again because it was comfortable, the staff was very nice, and the adjacent restaurant was convenient. The inn was quaint and adequate overall for a one night stay, but the walls were thin and you could hear the guests in hall/ rooms . The bed was very comfortable, and the bedding / towels were clean . No rug so the floor was super cold . It was freezing on the 2nd floor where the rooms were, and the temp was 60 . At night before bed, I had to ask to have the temp raised but they adjusted it to only 65\. In the morning , when I asked again because it was freezing, they finally raised it to 70, saying they didn’t want to over heat the guests upstairs . Plenty of towels were offered. The bed was comfortable, but sheets could have been more thoroughly cleaned. Breakfast was old and just a tiny bit of half and half left. Property needs updating including outside. Staff made everything easy by texting a code to a lock box with key, easy to find with instructions in the text. I was very pleased with how easy and hassle free everything was. Very clean, comfortable, crisp sheet bed. Had a great nights sleep and we were off, keys on the dresser early next morning.
