I bring guests to Ghana annualy and I always bring them to African Regent, first. We are greeted with a glass of fresh squeezed juice. The staff treats my companions with dignity and warmth. And, the buffet never disappoints. From Eric, the doorman to Raymond who brought did to my room at 11:00 PM, the waitstaff to the front desk; everyone is on their "A" game. Plus, it feels good when they ask remember you from your last visit.

The room was clean, bed was comfortable, i loved the pillows, i appreciated the daily, large, glass bottle of water in the room, the AC was great, staff were helpful and friendly, location was excellent and food was great.

Roots is a terrific apartment hotel. Your love the neighborhood which is vibrant, extremely urban and filled with action. Hotel itself has spacious rooms. Nicely appointed without extremely fancy detail. But efficient and just perfect for a stay in Accra. The location is walkable, but also an easy Uber anywhere including the Osu Night market and magical Makola Market. (western tourist. Will potentially feel overwhelmed by the velocity of these places, but they are well worth exploring and despite the extreme pace & vibrancy they are totally safe) it’s a great hotel. There’s also a nice restaurant both in the hotel and several options nearby.

I like the shuttle from the airport to the hotel. I didn’t like the wait time for checking in especially since I just got off a long flight. There wasn’t any liquid detergent for the washing machine and one of the chairs had a nasty stain on it. However I would recommend this hotel to others.
