False Island Pet-friendly Vacations

Room was clean and check in was fine. No coffee or cups in the room. Hot cold switched in bathroom sink and the tub filled with water while showering. Seems to be going backwards as I’ve stayed here multiple times. The Expedia site says all fees covered in the price, that is not the case. Was charged a fee on check in. Had to add a night on top of the 4 days I was there and was charged 70.00 over the Expedia price… hope the new owners get it together.

The hotel may have rebranded to the Southeast Resort, but it is an old hotel. The refrigerator shell was broken. The room just looked tired. The elevator was extremely slow. The bathtub wasn't really clean and there was someone else's long hair clinging to the shower curtain, yuck. On the positive side the bed was quite comfortable, and the hotel location is right by downtown and close to tourist areas.

There was basically no breakfast tho it was advertised as offering breakfast. There were some things available - very limited and you had to pay for them. The rooms were clean but extremely small for the price. The staff was very helpful. The TV in the lobby was set to Trump giving a speech, which is their right and, perhaps we should all sit and watch our president when he speaks publicly, but given the current divided country, probably made some people very uncomfortable. Good location in Sitka, close to the cruise lines’ meeting area. Good museums in Sitka.
