"This cabin was absolutely perfect for a week-long retreat. The cabin is clean, tastefully decorated and has everything you need and so much more. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were super soft. The a/c unit in the bedroom, in addition to the one in the main part of the cabin, kept us comfortable and cool. The loft really elevates the cabin with 2 queen beds and cute decor as well. The bathroom was open and bright and the large shower was just what we needed after a full day outside. The kitchen set up allowed us to cook meals with easy and the gas grill was perfect for burgers and steaks. We spent much time on the beautiful front porch relaxing and watching the birds and the lake. It was perfect for coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. We also relaxed by the fire pit. The Adirondack chairs were perfect for stargazing.Definitely bring water shoes if you want to go in the lake. Braving the muck is well worth it to get to clear, refreshing water. We also drove about 10 minutes to the beach in Escanaba which had a lifeguard area and plenty of additional beach if you prefer a more quiet time. Kelley was the perfect host. She was attentive, gave us suggestions on places to visit and even delivered a can opener when I told her I didn’t have one. She was easily accessible via text if needed and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay! I would highly recommend this adorable cabin! Thank you Kelley!"

"Stayed for ine night and glad we chose this hotel for our stop on the way further north. Very friendly staff, rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The hotel is doing some upgrading and it seems to be working, the pool looked very nice and clean and we enjoyed our evening at the attached restaurant and pub. Convenient and delicous food! Continental breakfast had what one would expect, fruit, yogurt, breads, cereal, juices and coffee. Plenty for our needs. Overall, this is the best deal in the area. Will be back"

"We stayed for one night in July as we did a family roadtrip (including a dog) around Lake Michigan. This property was PERFECT! Spotless! Front porch with a view of Lake Michigan. Safe, quiet and welcoming just outside town location. The home decor was unique in the most special way! Details in every space. Absolutely everything you might need. The fridge/freezer and pantry were well stoked with items (waffles, eggs, juices- and so much more). The fenced backyard was PERFECT for our dog after a long day in the car. To play off leash securely was so needed. The owner left a book of house details and town notes which was super interesting and helpful. The only hiccup was with securing the keys at checkout and the owner responded immediately to our questions. Highly recommend!!!"

"Surprisingly large apartment. One bathroom - but that was known at booking. Plenty of space to spread out. Big kitchen and coffee area. A/C was fine but spotty as not all rooms had their own window unit. Location was fine close to the big park and main downtown street. This is a quiet town even in the middle of summer. "

Water at rental was rocky, need to wear water shoes which are provided.
