Just a nice property with high-end finishes. I would stay again with no question. Location was also perfect, close to the city but far enough away to not have light pollution interferring with northern lights which we got to see!

The property is in great condition and is fully equipped with a kitchen, an outdoor grill. Very good for a longer stay, we stayed over just one night and could t make the best out of it.

We stayed at North Mountain Suites as a family of 4 adults and one toddler and had such a wonderful experience. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, which made traveling with a toddler so much easier. One of the highlights was definitely the hot tub with stunning views of the city—such a perfect way to relax at the end of the day. Overall, a great stay for families, and we would happily come back again!

The place was clean and newly renovated. Spacious for a family of 4. Nice, well stacked kitchen. Amazing views from the terrace. Very quiet. The hot tub was fun and a great way to relax after a day. We really enjoyed our stay!

Snow, lights and adventure!

Our experience was incredible! The check in was simple and the location easy to find. The rooms are incredibly clean and well maintained, the hot tub was hot on arrival. The views from the room are some of the best we have seen with snowy mountains and even got to see the Aurora! We couldn’t of asked for a better stay or experience.

Stunning property with mountain views and the town. Quite and relaxing. Hot tub is an excellent add on. We stayed in the comfort apartment with 2 bedrooms. Apartment is well-furnished with comfortable beds and sofa. Kitchen was well-stocked. Loved the comms around keys at check-in and check-out. Overall, I highly recommend this place for families of 3 or 4.

AMAZING! The private hot tub on the balcony is the best place to watch northern lights. The property is very clean- clearly brand new as they are still working on a few things. Great location, very easy to get to down town. Beds were very comfy. One small thing we ran into was only getting two towels for the shower. It would have been nice to have two additional towels for the hot tub, so we’d recommend asking for extras or bringing your own.

Arguably our favorite stay on Iceland. Views of Akureyri at night and mountains during the day. They have a fully equipped kitchen and a hot tub so you can cook dinner and enjoy a hot tub soak after. The room was clean and there was a large TV and check in instructions were easy. I would stay here again. The only thing is that the shower did not drain well and if they added a towel rack or more shelves, it would elevate the space as there was virtually no counter space in the bathroom. The drive into Akureyri for restaurants was a short 5-7 minute drive. Would recommend and would stay again.

Best hotel / hot tub combo!!

Amazing stay for our first time in Iceland, booked the room with a hot tub and it was definitely worth it! Full kitchen area to prepare meals was handy with a working oven and stove top. Bed was the comfiest we have ever slept on!! Clean and modern room with no issues at all! Very quite where the accommodation is located so would definitely recommend hiring a car to make your stay that much more enjoyable when driving to and from the town rather than paying for taxi’s which was around £20-£25 one way depending where you went into town. Couldn’t recommend this property highly enough, smooth check in with our passcode for the room key sent in good time before we checked in. Fresh towels, bath robes and coffee pods for the machine were dropped off every morning around 10-11am. The hot tub was perfect, lovely and warm and the view of the northern lights each night made it worth every penny, watching them from the hot tub! Will definitely be returning to this hotel!

We LOVED this property! It was clean, tidy, and nicely decorated. The hot tub was an excellent size and temperature and situated with a beautiful view of the snowy mountains. Unfortunately we did not see the northern lights (visited in late December) here but we would definitely return to this accommodation if we were to visit the area again. The staff member on duty was also helpful and friendly :) The property could do with more storage for clothes, more shelves in the bathroom, possibly a dressing table with good lighting & places to hang coats and towels. The only downside to our stay was when the bathroom lightbulb exploded when I turned light on and pieces of glass were still present in the bathroom despite staff member clearing it with a dust pan and brush - a hoover would have been the safer option. Fortunately this happened on our final night though.
